Pelikan...

Pelikan is a 43' Laurent Giles ketch built by Elisabet and me and launched in 1999. We did everything except the lead keel and the rig and it took us 5 years. I think she is probably the largest boat built by a TBSA member. Here is a sailing shot in the Caribbean taken during our four year round-the-world trip. (Elisabet has written a book about the trip, titled "Dear daughters".)

This anchorage shot with the spectacular background is from Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas. We lived on the boat for almost 5 years and sailed 45,000 nautical miles, but I had to sell the boat when we came home.

Stout...

The little dinghy (Stout) was built before Pelikan and won the "best built boat" prize in the TBSA's big Easter Messabout in 1995.

Flisan...

This 20' Selway Fisher designed Golden Bay launch is our most recent project. She is powered by a Bellman Electric pod motor with eight 6 volt Trojan batteries providing 210 amp hours at 48 volts.  The lines for the hull were taken from a photo of an English steam launch from around 1900.
